The Natick Rotary Club participated once again in the 16th annual Natick Days event held by the Natick Parks and Rec dept. Our club was located in our usual spot on the library lawn and held our version of a fishing pond. Hundreds of youngsters were given their turn at “fishing” for prizes and none left empty handed. The fish were jumping out the water and our volunteers had their hands full making sure that all the plucked fish were released back into the pond.
Many thanks go out to the town of Natick for putting this event on. Despite ominous weather the town estimated that 7300 people attended this year’s festivities held in the downtown common area of Natick center. Many different groups were featured representing just about everything from the Allegro Music School to the Natick Praying Indians, from the Autism Alliance of MetroWest to the League of Women Voters and more.
Look for us again next year on the library lawn at the good ol’ fishing hole.
